This expert, inspired by the beauty you can enjoy from the veranda of the Hotel, has been motivated by observation and listening of the emotions aroused by the surrounding panorama. In fact, her idea was mainly aimed to the exaltation of the historical and authentic elements of the Cinque Terre. Neri let herself be guided along the process of rediscovering those peculiarities which make Liguria so incomparable and exclusive: its culture, its environment and at the same time its singular natural components and colors. That is why she wanted to define her restyling work as an identity rediscovery.
The uniqueness of this project allowed the Grand Hotel Portovenere to refine its qualities so much that it gained the precious fifth star, becoming the only five-star hotel in the Cinque Terre. The superb suites have been redesigned and redecorated with the purpose of increasing the level of comfort and luxury. As unveiled by the architect “chairs and tables have been idealized in such a way as to increase the warmth of the wood on the ground” and to emphasize the elegant sunset light that penetrates from the sumptuous veranda, pampering guests’ hearts. The whole Grand Hotel was built in an ancient sixteenth-century palace overlooking the sea, thanks to the majestic architectural style of the veranda where the Palmaria restaurant is located. Its restoration has allowed an ideal recreation of a contemporary sailing ship ready to set sail for guests on a journey to the horizon, inebriated by unique aromas and flavors.
